Spc vinyl plank flooring installation instructions

National regulations for floor installation must always be observed. The installation location and conditions must always comply with the relevant national regulations and installation standards. If there is a conflict between national standards or regulations and the manufacturer's recommendations, the stricter of the two applies.

Check carefully for any material defects before installing the floor. Therefore, the floor installation must be carried out in good lighting. Faulty or damaged products must not be installed. The installed product is approved by the installer.

Install the floor at a temperature of 18–30°C and above the subfloor temperature of 15°C. The floor must be allowed to adjust to the installation room temperature of 18–30°C for at least 48 hours before installation. The packages must be stored horizontally and away from direct heating devices. The floor and room temperature must be maintained before, during and after installation for at least 24 hours.

The vinyl floor you install can only be as good as the subfloor it is on. Vinyl flooring can be installed on most subfloors. The subfloor must be clean, non-flexible, flat, stable and sufficiently dry. The subfloor must not have any damage or cracks caused by movement. Remove old carpets that are too soft (e.g. plastic/vinyl carpets) and previous floating floor materials and other coverings, such as laminate.

The evenness of the subfloor must be measured and documented. If the subfloor does not meet the requirements for Roihu vinyl floors, repair work must be carried out. The maximum permissible deviation of the installation substrate is 2 mm/200 cm and 1 mm/20 cm, and any unevenness greater than this must be leveled. Elevations must also be removed. When installing vinyl flooring on tiles, all joints that are at least 1 mm deep and/or at least 4 mm wide must be leveled. Level the subfloor according to the leveling material manufacturer's instructions.

When installing a floating floor, you must ensure that the dimensions leave a 5mm installation allowance for each vertical surface, and heavy fixed furniture (e.g. kitchen cabinets attached to the wall and/or floor) should not be installed on top of the floor, so that it can live evenly.

For installation, all you need is a tape measure, pencil, square and a serrated knife.

-measure with a tape measure and mark the desired cutting length (always check that you have measured from the correct end relative to the required groove).

-place the rectangle at the mark.

-cut a straight line into the tread with a serrated knife (using extreme caution).

- after this, the plank should break cleanly at the cut point, e.g. by bending it against your knee.

-Place the tongues against each other, turning the plank and making sure it is at the bottom before turning the plank against the floor. The lock tongue should easily fit into place. Avoid using unnecessary force.
